(Site Analysis)  Urban planning project

location: AL-Zahra, Makkah, Saudi Arabia

Project Size: 42 Ha, 420000 m2

In this project two alternatives were worked out, The first was the improvement of the random area with the expansion of roads and the provision of open areas for various activities and reduce the crime rate by directing the energies of young people for sport. The second was the redesign of an urban area connected with the King Abdul Aziz Road from the King Abdullah Mosque in ways that are shaded and not intersecting with the movement of vehicles. The area also included a tower area that is characterized by modern Hijazi style to contain pilgrims of the House of Allah during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.

Note that most of the buildings of the region consists of 1 floor or 2 floors and a few of them consist of 3 floors.

The buildings in the area of old buildings, some of them up to more than 30 years old and there are new buildings located on Umm Al-Qura Road.
